Sequence of Events’ new album “The Art of Memory” is dark and experimental. Shoegaze and industrial combine with futuristic electro sounds to create an exciting body of work that paints hopeless industrial soundscapes in eleven tracks lasting over three quarters of an hour. “The Art of Memory” tells of a time that may never have existed – and only with the help of sounds and repetitive vocals. Shrouded in oppressive darkness, each track stands on its own and yet weaves together in an unspoken overall context to form an album that belongs together.
