The Siouxsie and the Banshees song“Arabian Knights”, released 44 years ago to the day on July 24, 1981, still fills the dark dance floors today. Did you already know these 5 facts?
★ The song was the second single from the fourth album “Juju”.
★ The B-side features “Supernatural Thing”, a song by Ben E. King.
★ As an extra B-side there is the somewhat avant-garde piece with jew’s harp sound “Congo Conga”.
★ On the US edition, the title was mistakenly spelled “Conga Conga” and this was not the only reason why it became a popular collector’s item.
★ In the UK, the single reached number 21 in the UK singles charts.
