“Caught in the Throes” is the new solo album by Skold, the solo project of versatile Swedish musician, producer and multi-instrumentalist Tim Skold. The AI reference “All Humans Must Be Destroyed” and the downtempo, dark track “Pop the Smoke” have already been released as singles. After leaving Marilyn Manson in 2008, Skold continued his solo career, which he began in the late 1980s, with albums such as “Anomie” (2011), “The Undoing” (2016), “Never Is Now” (2019) and “Dies Irae” (2021), each of which showcased his evolving sound and production skills. We talk to Skold in our September/October issue about letting go and missing magic.
