The Damned – “Darkadelic”

Ageless oldschool sounds
THE DAMNED
“Darkadelic”

Album (earMUSIC)

On “Darkadelic”, The Damned pay homage to their punk as well as Goth Rock roots, cleverly threading in psychedelic influences. Humorous and thoughtful, horror elements flash up again and again in “Darkadelic” with relish. The setting could be a horror movie (“The Invisible Man”), a gloomy circus ring (“Beware of the Clowns”), or your own dark interior. The tone remains sinister and wicked throughout, but not at all dusty. Even after 47 years, The Damned rock unabated with the right mix of ageless oldschool sounds that they ennoble with their bright sense of time.
