THE DEGRAY EFFECT
“Why Not?

Album (degraymusic)

The cult effect is in full effect, because anyone who thinks of the Berlin gothic greats Marquee Moon (1984-1997) when they hear the name Nigel Degray is absolutely right. As the self-titled debut album already made clear, this nostalgia can certainly be indulged in, but independence is by no means lost. The second album is versatile, with a sound that combines gothic, punk and alternative. Real and (nightmare) dreams can be found in equal measure in the eleven arrangements, which show character with their expansive atmospheres and catchy tunes. First edgy, the instrumental “Irish Honey” trumps “Why Not?”!
