THE HORRORS: Dreamy melancholy meets danceable beats

Another herald of the new album “Night Life”, which will be released on March 21, 2025, is the single “Lotus Eater”. The track has gone through several phases, explain The Horrors and continue: “; “It was one of the first songs from the ‘Night Life’ sessions that really got us excited – Rhys’ original lyrics made me think of ‘5 Years’ by David Bowie and I began to build on the idea. A ‘Lotus Eater’ lives in a state of blissful ignorance, and for me the song describes the moment of returning to reality. We wanted it to convey a sense of melancholy and euphoria, letting go of the past and starting again. The spoken word part was improvised in the studio.” In our next issue we have an interview with The Horrors.
