Time travel and a view of the future
THE HOUSE OF USHER
“Iconography”

Album (own production)

With “Iconography”, The House of Usher have put together a loving collection of individual songs, ranging from downloads and singles to various compilation contributions. At this point, the physical version should be particularly emphasized, as it is so much more than a mere compilation of what already exists. Especially as two previously unreleased tracks are also included. Let’s stay with the visuals: The CD comes in a large DVD cover format, which is accompanied by a high-quality poster. There are numerous archive images on the back of the book that provide a fitting backdrop to the story. “Iconography” is therefore a journey back in time for the gothic rock band on the one hand and a look into the future with the two previously unknown compositions “For Maria” and “A Farewell to Arms” on the other. Over the course of the 15 tracks, The House of Usher demonstrate their broad sound and emotional spectrum, which ranges from calm to powerfully charged, melancholic, dark and epic-spherical.
