With his new single “I want to go back”, Tim Vicia certainly speaks from the soul of many. The desire to go back to a point where life was still good (from today’s perspective). Coupled with self-doubt and the constant feeling of not belonging. Of not being “normal”. When do Tim experience such moments and how does he deal with them? Tim answers: “I have self-doubt quite often. As a (primary school) child, I was much more light-footed than I am now. You just didn’t think as much back then. I miss that carefree attitude. Today, I often get in my own way. Unfortunately, you compare yourself to other people very often and very quickly – whether you want to or not. And I think to myself: ‘Everyone else is actually so much more blatant than me…’ A vocal coach I met at a songwriting camp in Lower Franconia this year put it very aptly: ‘Self-confidence is a fragile thing’. Unfortunately, I haven’t yet found a rule of thumb for dealing with all of this confidently. I’m afraid I can’t tell you. Keep going, is the best I can come up with, just keep going. That will have to suffice as an encouraging thought for now.”

Musically, he settles into the melancholic pop genre. And now? Tim is working hard on new music, currently on his tenth single: “I can reveal that this song will probably be my poppiest yet. You can look forward to it! Apart from that, I hope that I will soon have the opportunity to play my first gigs, perform my music live and reach the audience directly.”
