TYPE O NEGATIVE: Rust?

On August 20, 1996 – exactly 29 years ago – Type O Negative released “October Rust”. Did you already know these 5 facts?
★ With songs such as “My Girlfriend’s Girlfriend” and “Love You Death”, the work with the 2.03 meter tall Peter Steele on microphone and bass became the inspiration for numerous gothic metal bands.
★ “October Rust” is Type O Negative‘s fourth studio album.
★ It is the first album to feature drummer Johnny Kelly, although programmed drums were used.
Incidentally, Peter Steele’s real name was Petrus. And in full detail: Petrus Thomas Ratajczyk.
★ The album also contains a cover version of Neil Young’ssong “Cinnamon Girl”.
★ “October Rust” is the band’s first album with a “joke intro”: “Bad Ground” consists solely of a low hum, as if audio cables had been plugged in incorrectly.
