VELATINE: Post-punk excursions?
After VELATINE reformed – mastermind Loki Lockwood was joined by the talented singer Holly – the dark wave formation has been working on live shows. At the same time, they are also creating brand new songs, such as the latest single “Whisper Park”, which blends the Australians’ sound with sparkling post-punk sounds.
Loki recalls: “Whisper Park” “went from the studio to the rehearsal room to the stage and evolved along the way, getting louder and dirtier, and it has an energy just the way we like it. That doesn’t mean that’s all we’re ever going to do – play dirty. But as promised from the beginning, this project knows no boundaries. That’s why we want to challenge ourselves and each other creatively – and who knows where that will take us, but we’re going for it.”
