Four years after their last studio album, the Munich-based band Waldgeflüster want to really go for it and are releasing “Knochengesänge”, a double album with a total playing time of almost 110 minutes. The full-length work offers atmospheric black metal with lush melodies. First and foremost, however, the band is interested in creating veritable landscapes with their instruments. Some tracks break the ten-minute mark and have a strong connection to nature. Listen to songs like “Krähenpsalme” or “Der kleinste König und sein Architekt”. Those who like it catchier should check out “The Parting Glass”.
