Without mincing words, Wooden Veins create an explosive wave of soundscapes with their second album “Imploding Waves”, mixing the most diverse styles. The quintet manages to channel the foaming spray of sounds into a harmonious sea. Classic melodic Doom Metal with Progressive and Gothic elements are already used in the opener “Dreamside Death”. In the course of the listening pleasure that each of the ten compositions incl. interludes prepares, “Imploding Waves” with its atmospheric – but at the same time also sometimes harder – sounds lets your thoughts run free and stimulates the mental cinema.
