September 19, 2024, Reeperbahn Festival in Hamburg<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

Once a year, the Reeperbahn, Hamburg’s most sinful mile, is transformed into Europe’s biggest club festival.\nOnce a year, the St. Pauli district becomes the center of the international music scene for four days.\nOver 400 bands perform in more than 70 clubs, all of which have just one thing in common: They are located on or near Hamburg’s Reeperbahn.\nIn 2024, both up-and-coming young talents and well-known established acts performed across all musical genres. <\/p>\n\n

Among them was the US singer\/songwriter Mothica<\/strong>.\nWith her, a great singer stepped into the spotlight on a small and very intimate stage at the legendary Molotow, thrilling the fans with her energetic performance.\nThe audience was close and practically touchable.\nThis closeness created friction and friction created energy, which Mothica<\/strong> used perfectly to captivate her audience, whether long-time fans or the curious, with her unmistakable mix of styles between electro pop and high-energy rock.\nBut she also touched the audience with emotional songs and profound lyrics.\nThis emotional honesty in her songs created a unique musical intensity. Mothica<\/strong> took us on a journey into her own self and shared her feelings with us.\nHer songs were touching and perhaps thought-provoking, but definitely left the audience enthusiastic, who rewarded the artist with lots of applause at the end. <\/p>\n\n

The concert was one of the few dates in Europe and, for the time being, one of the last opportunities to see the charismatic artist live.\nTwo days ago, she canceled her entire US tour due to personal problems and is now focusing on her mental health and getting her addiction problem under control.\nYou can read about what Mothica<\/strong> has already been through in the course of her life in our summer issue, in which we conducted an in-depth interview with Mothica<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n
