Chontaraz are a Norwegian-Greek band and play a rather unique mix of industrial, progressive and nu metal. Their third album “Phantom of Reality” offers a balanced mix of heaviness and melody, with striking keyboard arrangements that are sometimes reminiscent of Dimmu Borgir. According to their own statements, the combo does not want to play music, but to convey emotions. Songs such as “Istanbul”, “Scream” (with Sakis Tolis from Rotting Christ as guest vocalist) or “Face the Fake” sound pretty musical. The mixture of Norwegian metal and south-eastern European flair definitely works. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
