On July 27, 1998\u2014exactly 28 years ago\u2014 Rammstein<\/strong> released their first cover song: \u201cStripped\u201d by Depeche Mode<\/strong>. Did you already know these 5 facts? <\/p>\n\n

\u2605 “Stripped” is part of the Depeche Mode tribute album<\/strong>“For the Masses”, for which the band was free to choose from all of Depeche Mode<\/strong> ‘s songs.<\/p>\n\n

\u2605 The original version was released in 1986 on the Depeche Mode album<\/strong>“Black Celebration”. The rhythm was provided by a distorted motorcycle sound. <\/p>\n\n

\u2605 Rammstein recorded “Stripped” at the Voc Klangstudio in Hamburg from January 27 to February 01, 1998.<\/p>\n\n

\u2605 In addition to the title track, the single contains numerous remixes, for example by KMFDM or Tiamat, as well as the live version of “Wollt ihr das Bett in Flammen sehen?”.<\/p>\n\n

\u2605 Lyrical freedom: It was actually supposed to be called “Let me see you stripped down to the bone”. After several test runs, the band finally decided to leave out the addition “down to the bone”. <\/p>\n\n
