On July 28, 1997\u201429 years ago\u2014 Rammstein<\/strong> released their single \u201cDu hast.\u201d Did you already know these 7 facts? <\/p>\n\n

\u2605 “Du hast” entered the German singles charts at number five in August 1997 and remained in the top 100 for eleven weeks.<\/p>\n\n

\u2605 The single also includes “B\u00fcck dich” and two remixes, one by producer Jacob Hellner, the other by Clawfinger<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n

\u2605 The single cover shows the face of Paul Landers.<\/p>\n\n

\u2605 When Rammstein<\/strong> received the MTV European Music Award for “Best Rock Act” on November 12, 1998, they performed “Du hast”.<\/p>\n\n

\u2605 The video for the song “Du hast” was directed by Philipp St\u00f6lzl. Philipp was already responsible for the video for “Engel” as art director. “Du hast” was his first video clip as a director. <\/p>\n\n

\u2605 Philipp St\u00f6lzl was thinking of Tarantino’s “Reservoir Dogs” (1992) for the video of “Du hast”, while the explosion running backwards is an homage to David Lynch’s “Lost Highway” (1996).<\/p>\n\n

\u2605 The video clip is one of the most viewed Rammstein videos<\/strong> on YouTube.<\/p>\n\n
