In 1999, &#8220;No Exit&#8221; immediately made it to number 3 in the UK album charts. With the lead single &#8220;Maria&#8221;, <strong>Blondie<\/strong> was the only US band to achieve a number 1 single in three decades. The album title is taken from the play &#8220;Geschlossene Gesellschaft&#8221; by Sartre. In addition to the tracks from &#8220;No Exit&#8221;, the remastered and expanded edition contains rare remixes and the seductively upbeat bonus track &#8220;Hot Shot&#8221;, which was previously only released in Japan. The artwork is also brand new and &#8220;No Exit&#8221; is available on vinyl for the first time: As crystal clear 2LP vinyl or classic black double LP. Debbie Harry explains: &#8220;We deliberately didn&#8217;t want to do anything predictable &#8211; and still sprinkle in a few of those little pop numbers that <strong>Blondie<\/strong> are known for.&#8221; The inclusion of drummer and founding member Clem Burkes is also something special, as he passed away earlier this year. &#8211; The remastered version of &#8220;No Exit&#8221; is therefore a special legacy.
