The result &#8211; &#8220;The Descent&#8221;. A &#8220;descent&#8221;, of course, by no means in terms of sound, but in the sense that we slide down into apocalyptic abysses with the French quartet. &#8211; And linger there with pleasure. What we are presented with is as ugly as the world itself and should perhaps better remain hidden in the dark. Skaphos have sinister fun dragging these nightmarish creatures and scenarios into the light.
