In our two-part interview with Klez.e, we talk about their new album, “Einmal mehr mit dir gegen die Furcht.” You can read the first part here <\/a>. <\/p>\n\n

High contrast?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

\u201cHymnus,\u201d the first single, stands at the beginning like a quiet colossus. Not a loud departure, but one with poise. \u201cHe achieves this with such intense calm,\u201d says Siebert. \u201cI\u2019m all for lightheartedness.\u201d A statement that seems almost defiant in a time that wants to make everything difficult. Other tracks also carry this tension within them. \u201cLa Boum,\u201d for example, with its shimmering surface beneath which things are bubbling. \u201cThis contrast is omnipresent,\u201d says Siebert. \u201cYou start digging\u2014and immediately find something that raises big questions.\u201d Or \u201cIch seh es an mir,\u201d a song about self-deception under the constant barrage of digital realities. \u201cI\u2019m finding it increasingly difficult to keep the washwater inside me clean.\u201d A line that sticks with you because it\u2019s so raw and speaks to so many people. <\/p>\n\n

The Cathedral in the Field<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

The sound of the album feels almost constructed. High, expansive, almost sacred. It\u2019s no coincidence: the studio is called \u201cThe Cathedral.\u201d A former chapel, somewhere out in a field, with no neighbors. \u201cYou play into the building,\u201d says Siebert. \u201cThe walls resonate. It feels different.\u201d It is this physical dimension that you hear. No plug-in can replace that. No algorithm can create such spaces. No AI can produce such sounds. Perhaps it is precisely this place that gives the album its unique balance: between vastness and intimacy, between coldness and comfort. <\/p>\n\n

A balance sheet without a final tally<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

So is this all just a mid-term assessment? Siebert takes a sip of red wine, pauses to think for a moment\u2014and then simply says, \u201cYes.\u201d He talks about moments that stick with you. About concerts, about empty streets covered in snow, about that rare feeling that everything is just right. \u201cI really wonder why these moments don\u2019t happen more often.\u201d Perhaps this album is an attempt to capture them. Or at least their trace. In the end, there\u2019s no grand statement, but something simpler, perhaps more radical: the idea of connection. Of coming together. Of light falling through a window, at exactly the right moment. And for a moment, it\u2019s actually there. <\/p>\n\n
