The spelling, in which the \u201co\u201ds are replaced with zeros, not only looks more striking, \u201cbut also evokes one of the central ideas behind the project: The greatest danger to humanity does not come from the machines themselves, but from the mechanization of humans. \u201cThat was also the central theme of my first album, \u2018Cl0ckw0rk Human,\u2019\u201d explains the artist. The project explores themes such as technology, identity, media, ideology, and the question of the boundary between reality and simulation. The album \u201cTech N0ir,\u201d released this summer, focuses on the nocturnal, urban world, while his latest work, \u201cMusic for the Mass,\u201d is more clearly influenced by synth-pop and gives free rein to melancholy. <\/p>\n\n
