Pressing live performances into <\/strong>vinyl without losing the atmosphere is no easy task. With “Show”, The Cure succeeded in doing this in 1993. Also for the 30th anniversary, the remastered version captures the mood of “back then”. The song selection is poppy and focused on the newer tracks at the time. Highlights include “Lullaby,” “Just Like Heaven,” and the hit that no one could get past at the time, “Friday, I’m in Love.” The mastering is balanced and knocks the bass around where it needs to be. As a contrast, Robert Smith’s voice is underlaid with slight reverb, which again enhances the concert feel.<\/p>\n\n
