20 years ago: Profile with VNV NATION

Automatic translation. Improvements are constantly being worked on.

(The following interview was first published in the Orkus! issue September 2003)

20 years ago we asked Ronan Harris(VNV NATION) the very personal questions of our “profile”. Read all about Ronan’s last meal, what he bought with his first money earned and who he would rather not meet here in part four.

Which person do you never want to run into?
The list goes on and on. I would say a psychotic hammer murderer, people who want to sell me an American Express Blue Card (although again, they certainly don’t want to meet me unless they want to be told to “fuck off” to their face in public), Kai Pflaume, women who tell you they’re a “singer/dancer/actress” and anyone who thinks winning Popstars would be great and a good start in business.

What did you do with your first self-earned money?
Bought myself a synthesizer (surprise!). I saw it in the store, wanted it so badly, and slaved over it all summer – my parents thought I was nuts.

What do you want your last meal to be?
Thai food. Actually, I want to eat Thai food every day.

In the fifth part, you’ll learn more about Ronan’s worst pick-up line, what he appreciates about the opposite sex, what his most painful experience so far has been, and how he’s doing when it comes to “love letters”.
