LOUISE PATRICIA CRANE: Love from the grave?

“Bête Noire” was intended to sound deliberately chaotic without losing its harmony. The atmospheric piece conjures up a dark demon and slowly builds up the intensity to a pleasurable climax. Louise Patricia Crane nods: “The album ‘Netherworld’ begins with the words ‘my love whispers from her grave’, and this final moment that closes ‘Bête Noire’ is like the lover you’ve missed gently welcoming you into her open embrace. She lulls you to sleep, from the other side. Like the song of a siren.” In our summer issue, we talk to Louise Patricia Crane about cathartic, painful, encouraging healing and, of course, the new album “Netherworld”.
