SIOUXISE AND THE BANSHEES: Turn “A” into “O”?
Automatic translation. Improvements are constantly being worked on.
Even today, the Siouxsie and the Banshees song “Arabian Knights”—released exactly 45 years ago on July 24, 1981—still fills the dark dance floors. Did you already know these 5 facts?
★ The song was the second single from the fourth album “Juju”.
★ The B-side features “Supernatural Thing”, a song by Ben E. King.
★ As an extra B-side there is the somewhat avant-garde piece with jew’s harp sound “Congo Conga”.
★ On the US edition, the title was mistakenly spelled “Conga Conga” and this was not the only reason why it became a popular collector’s item.
★ In the UK, the single reached number 21 in the UK singles charts.
