Sweet on the outside and a surprising core on the inside? The “Mooncake Songs” are designed like their delicious role model, the Chinese mooncake. Roman946 gives the listener an insight into the crazy world of China, where he has spent some time. A quirky mix of Far Eastern sounds and avant-garde electronics tells stories. The language is German, sometimes Chinese. But the stories work even without understanding the language: in the form of sounds that create a certain atmosphere and thus their very own head cinema. Words lose their significance. What counts is the overall concept. Unique, without taking itself too seriously and definitely entertaining.
