ANTRISCH – “Expedition III: Renitence Path Marañones”

Black metal as a history lesson
ANTRISCH
“Expedition III: Renitenzpfad Marañones”
Album (AOP)
Atmospheric black metal meets meaningful lyrics with a historical reference. There are also sprinkles of dark ambient and doom metal that make the journey to South America around the year 1560 even darker. We follow Lope de Aguirre, a brutal conquistador who ruthlessly had enemies and allies slaughtered if they came too close to him. Accompanied by the magnificent riffs of Robert Falcon Scott and the screeching vocals of Maurice Wilson, we experience the rise and fall of a tyrant who wanted to conquer the legendary city of Eldorado. In the process, he and his men met their deaths. An exciting album in every respect.
