BEN BLUTZUKKER: Brick Metal?

The new single “Game of Life” is an appeal not to take life too seriously. “In the end, the only thing that really matters is what you make of it,” explains mastermind Ben Blutzukker. Reminiscences of old video games such as “Super Mario”, “Doom” or “Mortal Kombat” can be seen. This is his world, the late eighties and early nineties? “The most modern games console in our house is a Super Nintendo. As a child and teenager, I was really fascinated by the games that were available at the time, but then I stopped playing them again. So I can only celebrate the things of my youth.”

Although “Game of Life” is clearly industrial, the album “Build Your Idols” (release date: April 30, 2024) is dominated by dark metal. As his hobby is Lego stop-motion videos, Ben Blutzukker describes his style as “brick metal”. In our next issue you will find a review and we also have an entertaining interview with Ben.
