Blondie are now re-releasing their seventh studio album “No Exit” in a remastered deluxe edition. In 1999, “No Exit” immediately made it to number 3 in the UK album charts. With the lead single “Maria”, Blondie was the only US band to achieve a number 1 single in three decades. The album title is taken from the play “Geschlossene Gesellschaft” by Sartre. In addition to the tracks from “No Exit”, the remastered and expanded edition contains rare remixes and the seductively upbeat bonus track “Hot Shot”, which was previously only released in Japan. The artwork is also brand new and “No Exit” is available on vinyl for the first time: As crystal clear 2LP vinyl or classic black double LP. Debbie Harry explains: “We deliberately didn’t want to do anything predictable – and still sprinkle in a few of those little pop numbers that Blondie are known for.” The inclusion of drummer and founding member Clem Burkes is also something special, as he passed away earlier this year. – The remastered version of “No Exit” is therefore a special legacy. It will be released on October 31, 2025 via BMG.
