DEPECHE MODE banned from the charts!

Automatic translation. Improvements are constantly being worked on.

“Goodnight Lovers” was released on February 11, 2002 – 24 years ago. Did you already know these 5 facts?

★ Dave Gahan sang the quiet piece almost as a lullaby. Convincing – after all, his little daughter was just seven years old at the time of the recording.

★ The bonus included remixes of “When the Body Speaks” (06:02) (acoustic), “The Dead of Night” (07:38) (“Electronicat Remix”) and “Goodnight Lovers” (05:53) (“Isan Falling Leaf Mix”).

★And that’s the problem: the single couldn’t get into the British charts because it contained three other songs, which is not permitted for singles.

★ Instead, “Goodnight Lovers” was placed 16th in Italy, 15th in Germany, 7th in Denmark and 4th in Spain.

★ Depeche Mode have played “Goodnight Lovers” live 76 times so far.
