A few things have changed since the last release. Hurdy-gurdy player Annie is no longer involved and band founder Chrigel Glanzmann had to take some time off during the recording sessions. This meant that the remaining Eluveitie members had to step on the gas even more and “Ànv” (pronounced: Anu) can be considered a true team success. Musically, they continue to deliver their unmistakable folk metal, which sometimes sounds dreamy and other times bludgeoning from the speakers. Eluveitie manage to combine both elements more skillfully than ever, with magical listening moments that get under your skin.
