GHOST REFLECTIONS: Cinematic Gothic Electro Rock

On their debut EP “I Am I,” Ghost Reflections blend dark electronic music with metal, gothic, and atmospheric instrumental music. This stylistic range is particularly evident in the driving track “Dawn,” while “Grey” musically captures the emotional calm of a liminal space. With “Eternal Dance” and “Cold Case: Chiara,” the EP also features two purely instrumental tracks, which Murmur says he conceived as film scores. Among his most important influences are progressive rock, psychedelic, and experimental metal, as well as classical music. The duo was also shaped by the soundtracks of 1970s Italian horror films and the darker side of progressive rock. For gothic rock, post-punk, and related genres, however, the key inspirations come primarily from abroad—especially from British bands.
