We wish the founding member of Schandmaul, Birgit Muggenthaler-Schmack, all the best for her 50th birthday!
Did you know?
– With Schandmaul, Birgit plays the shepherd’s pipe, shawms, rauschpfeife, flutes, tin whistle and bagpipes.
– She also plays the recorder, piano, double bass and flute.
– One year after founding Schandmaul, Birgit Muggenthaler-Schmack founded Faun, which she left in 2000.
– From 2004, she worked with Faun mastermind Oliver Pade under the project name Sava.
– The first song written for Schandmaul was “Teufelsweib” (1998).
Schandmaul are live on 13. and September 14 at their “25 (+1)” anniversary show at the Folkfield Festival in the Amphitheater Gelsenkirchen. Together with Versengold, Subway to Sally, Fiddler’s Green, Letzte Instanz and Tanzwut, among others.
