Not only in the uncompromising opener it becomes clear: Iggy Pop is still “in a frenzy” of music even as a 75-year-old. It gets a bit more gothic in “Strung Out Johnny”, which is reminiscent of The Sisters of Mercy, without missing the appropriate Rock note of Iggy Pop. “New Atlantis” is introduced with sweet music and exudes a touch of nostalgia. Again, Iggy Pop shows himself clearly dirtier and old-school in “Modern Day Rip off”. On the pulse of the times beats “Morning Show.” Before now each track is praised individually: In “Every Loser” Iggy Pop offers an enormous variety of facets and remains true to himself.
