With the second single “Replay” Kimbra once again draws attention to her new album, which will be titled “A Reckoning” and will be released on Jan. 27, 2022. Pulsating, erotic and electronic in equal measure presents “Replay”.

Kimbra comments on the sensual piece, “I’m interested in the motivations behind our anger and compulsive tendencies. I wanted to make a song that represented two sides of my inner experience, one is chaotic, the other is very controlled, introspective and calm. This song is about the experience of being in a loop. There’s a movie playing in my head of both the beautiful and terrible moments in a relationship. But there’s also the inability to let go. When I clung to the pain, I felt like that person was still in my life. This cycle was addictive, even though I knew it was time to face it and let it go.”
