Interview with COLLAPSE THE SKY (Part 1 of 2)

With the song “Welcome | Death,” British modern metal band Collapse the Sky offers a first glimpse of their EP, set to be released this fall. Guitarist and band leader Flynn Green talks about career highlights, new approaches to songwriting, and dead forests in our two-part interview.
What Has Happened So Far
Collapse the Sky formed in 2016 out of an online project by singer Lee Margaillan and guitarist Flynn Green, who, after writing a few songs, decided they’d rather start a real band so they could perform live. A lot has happened since then, as Green explains. “We’ve released three albums so far: ‘Seven Eyes’ in 2016, ‘Consumed’ in 2018, and ‘White Flags’ in 2022. We’ve had the chance to play at major festivals like Bloodstock and Download—which is a huge honor for an English band—and we’ve even been featured on the BBC.” Not a bad track record for a band that’s still quite young, which is now presenting a brand-new song, “Welcome | Death.”
