KISS’ fifth album “Rock and Roll Over” was released exactly 48 years ago to the day on November 11, 1976. Did you already know these 5 facts?
★ “Rock and Roll Over” was recorded in the abandoned Star Theatre in New York. Producer Eddie Kramer ( David Bowie, The Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, The Beatles, among others) worked up to 17 hours a day trying to capture the band’s live sound by using the entire building.
★ For the perfect drum sound, Peter Criss recorded his tracks in a bathroom.
★ It is the first KISS album that was not written by lead guitarist Ace Frehley.
★ Many of the songs on “Rock and Roll Over” were written during the work on “Destroyer”.
★ The album reached number 11 on the US billboards, number 7 in Canada and number 9 in Sweden.
