It’s hard to believe that Madder Mortem have been around for over 30 years. Their eighth album “Old Eyes, New Heart”, which is released today, also convinces with fresh, progressive doom metal. In addition to powerful songs, there is always a certain tendency towards melancholy, so that a wide range of emotions can be experienced throughout the album. Emotions that can perhaps also be felt in the artwork: This was created by singer Agnetes and guitarist BP’s now deceased father, who supported the band, which was founded in 1993, from the very beginning. In our next issue, we talk to singer Agnete about the secret of the band’s longevity and the complexity of the album.
