Some gems remain hidden in obscurity for a long time. Like the Bonn-based band Myrna Loy, who have not been heard from for more than 30 years, but have bequeathed us three albums. Their debut album “I Press My Lips in Your Inner Temple”, released 35 years ago, is now attracting new attention in its remastered and expanded version (including ten live tracks and four previously unreleased songs). And rightly so! Their mixture of atmospheric, dense ambient soundscapes, (dark) wave, raw industrial as it emerged in the early days, rock but also slightly pop elements remains unmistakable to this day. Victor D’s voice has an enormous range and, with its distinctive facets, repeatedly creates a wow effect throughout the album. The eight songs from the original album are followed by ten live recordings from 1988/89, which catapult you right back into the eighties and give you that certain live character.
