THE RASMUS: Love is ….?

The Rasmus make it clear in their new single: “Love Is a Bitch”. Mastermind Lauri Ylönen explains: “This song has always been a trump card. It never fit in with the other songs. But it was great fun to play it and I’m glad we decided to put it on the album. The lyrics are about a person who treats you like dirt, but is so good in bed that you can’t leave them.” The song is a foretaste of the new album, which will be released on September 12, 2025 and is entitled “Weirdo”.

On July 19, The Rasmus will play a benefit concert at the “Atlas Festival” in Ukraine as the only international act. Lauri nods: “It’s scary to play in the middle of a war, but we want to show our support for the Ukrainian people. We have a huge fan base in Ukraine and have already recorded a song together with the Ukrainian Eurovision winner Kalush Orchestra.”
