VELATINE about sold dreams

Sometimes all you can say is: “FCK YOU ALL”! That’s how Velatine felt. However, the inspiration for the piece was triggered in a completely different way: Loki Lockwood attended a concert by Barb Dwyer, who also lent her voice to the piece. This triggered in him the desire to “go home and create something”, he recalls and continues: “Doing her show, we talked about why we continue this kind of torture that we put ourselves through. I’m talking about this need to write music even though we’re doing it for the most part and feeling invisible. Yes, we try to push the right buttons on our social media pages, but without much success, and yet our feeds are stuffed with ads promising fame and fortune if you shell out your cash. So where are all the famous people creating these charlatans? They’re just selling a dream, and Barb and I both know you can’t buy it.
