The 222. Birthday The anniversary of Alexander Sergeyevich Pushkin’s death was on June 6, 2021, the same day the debut single was released. With eight tracks, the album unfolds its full soundscape. The international project based around Dark Jazz, Tsar Punk and Folklore reworks Pushkin’s verse novel with great flair. Touching arrangements create an impressive atmosphere, which is carried not only by instruments and compositions but also by soulful vocals. Not least in “Where Have You Gone”, the vocals weave emotionality. “Onegin” makes MaskXSoul a melodious, reflective part of the classic’s reception history!
