RAIN DIARY: Longing for endless night?

Rain Diary are releasing their third album “Night Church”. Bassist and guitarist Joni Bitter explains that the song “Naive” was inspired by his ex-girlfriend who “used to do a lot of drugs. It comes from a time when the party life (aka ‘Night Church’) took over and the days were an endless wait to get high again. But while I was able to draw the line at a safe point, she could not. ‘What if I’m naive to believe in you’ reflects the feeling that it’s extremely hard to stay rational when you love someone so much. My ex was one of the most beautiful people I’ve ever met, but also had a past that kept catching up with her… She wanted to stay in an endless night.” Find out more in our May/June issue.
