RAMMSTEIN: Spontaneous activities?

Rammstein released the video clip for “Mein Teil” 21 years ago today on July 9, 2004. Did you already know these 5 facts?

★ The film was shot on June 2 and 3, 2004 outside at the German Opera House in Bismarckstraße, the interior shots in the Arena in Treptow. As with “Links 2-3-4”, the film was directed by Zoran Bihać.

★ Experimental filming: The filming took place separately, nobody knew what was happening. Each of the Rammstein boys only knew to a limited extent what was planned, as they were supposed to act spontaneously.

★ Paul’s tattered suit was more expensive than it looks: After he was soaked in lots of coffee and the like, lots of expensive bronze make-up was poured over it.

★ Originally, the angel was supposed to hit Lindemann during the chorus. The performer didn’t feel up to it, so director Zoran stepped in with a courageous hand.

★ Flake’s ballet shoes were far too small. But that was intentional – because it made the performance much more intense.
