SALINE GRACE: Poetic melancholy
SPONSORED POST

On May 18, 2026, Saline Grace will release their new album “Tree of Knowledge”, which we talk about with mastermind Ricardo Hoffmann in our May/June issue. We take a closer look at the song “Individual Case”. The story of parents avenging their raped and killed child reminds us of the Wild West, where vigilante justice was normal. Ricardo nods and explains that he lives with his family in Berlin, where he has to worry about his daughter when she is out at night. “Another big problem is the judiciary, which now doesn’t really do justice, but sometimes lets offenders go after a few hours. I can understand parents who go after the judge in desperation. In the end, I let this despair flow into this piece, stringing together actual incidents and fictitiously and symbolically blaming the antagonist; and to be honest, if I had to, I would act like in the piece!” Musically, Saline Grace clothe this in poetic melancholy that makes you think.
