There are bands that eventually disappear. And there are bands whose music has long since broken free from recorded media and their own history. Silke Bischoff belongs to the latter category. For more than two decades, large parts of their catalog were virtually unavailable. Yet the songs remained a staple on the dance floors of the goth scene. Now the band is making a comeback—not as a nostalgic revival, but as a respectful engagement with a legacy that continues to resonate with many people to this day. In an interview with Orkus! in our July/August issue, founding member Axel Kretschmann looks back on the band’s early days with Felix Flaucher, the difficult years, and the emotional WGT performance in 2025.
