The Hardkiss’s fifth album stands out for its hard-hitting yet melodic sound. As usual, “Grey Hound” weaves alternative rock with elements of hard rock and pop rock into an explosive mix. The concept album centers on time itself as its central theme. Frontwoman Julia Sanina’s powerful voice brings a wealth of emotion to the dark yet intensely driving sounds. Most of the songs are sung in English, but those in the band’s native Ukrainian also get under your skin. The band combines a cinematic atmosphere with raw energy, creating an intense listening experience that oscillates between intensity and emotion.
