As if time had stood still. Forty years after the post-punk high-flyers The Plastic Flies split up, three quarters of the band got back together to form The Resurrection Club and make a brilliant comeback. The title of the album fits the life situation of the three Scots perfectly: “Survival”, and that’s all it’s about. The songs are characterized by catchy synth melodies and screeching guitars with an undertone of despair about the frightening state of our planet, but at the same time an optimism that doesn’t let you lose heart despite all the catastrophes.
