THE UNDERGROUND YOUTH: new muse?

With “Calliope”, The Underground Youth are releasing their third single as a final foretaste of the new album “Décollage”, which will be released on April 4th. Mastermind Craig Dyer explains the background to the track: “Calliope is the Greek muse of epic poetry. The narrator wonders why worship has not brought him a masterpiece. He wonders why people criticize creative originality and why we can’t simply find solace in the joy of creating art instead of criticizing it. The song slowly builds and rises to a crescendo of trip-hop infused walls of layered arrangements and features additional vocals from Gloria de Oliveira.”
