It was cold outside, but the waiting fans were already piling up outside the gates of the Hellraiser in Leipzig. We were part of Varg‘s “Wolfsfest” tour 2023, which guaranteed a high-quality event with the support acts Sagenbringer and Nachtblut.

The atmosphere in the Hellraiser was great even before the concert started, the club was filled to the last centimeter. Hard sounds and legendary lyrics were to be the motto of this evening. This was introduced punctually at 19:00 by Sagenbringer. Those who were not yet familiar with the band were quickly blessed with knowledge about the god of thunder and the mead dragon.

After a short changeover break, everyone roared along loudly to Nachtblut ‘s songs. Of course, “Frauenausbeiner” and “Lied für die Götter” were the absolute mood-setters. The joint performance by Varg, Nachtblut and Sagenbringer, who performed “Wat is denn los mit dir” together, was the final straw.

A little later, the headliners, the wolves themselves, took to the stage, kicking off their performance brilliantly with “Zeichen”. The lyrics were also shouted along by the audience and the metal hearts beat faster song after song. Finally, after the encores “Schildfront” and “Ewige Nacht”, a wonderful evening drew to a close.
