ANGELZOOM: Not a second!

With the single “No Second”, Angelzoom give a wonderful foretaste of their new album “Grey Devotion”, which will be released on April 24, 2026. Claudia Uhle explains that producer Bernd Wendlandt had the idea for the lyrics: “And I tried to incorporate my feelings about time, about being mindful, about life in general. The transience on the road of life, so to speak.” Bernd explains that the idea for the lyrics was based on a musical fragment. “The bass sequencer pattern with the drum beat, plus the pulsating synth with the effects from the beginning. We then tried out a few melodies and twists on this theme to harmonize the lyrics and music. However, it quickly became clear that it could possibly be a single.”
We admire the video clip, which was created with the help of artificial intelligence. Bernd explains: “First there is the idea of the content, what we want to say. ‘No Second’ is about time, using every second of your life, enjoying it. Not to waste it. Accepting your mistakes and just getting on with it. Once the content is set, I write a little storyboard where we determine what will be shot or generated. Then I create images with AI that capture the approximate mood of what the video should look like. In this case, exactly the cover image with the lonely street and the dark scenery. Then we usually shoot Claudia’s performance level in front of greenery or real locations. Once everything is in the can, I use the Open Art AI tool, which in turn provides many different AI video generators. I always choose the right AI generator here. As all tools produce different costs, you have to calculate precisely and know what you want to generate. Inexpensive tools can usually only do one thing, but that is sometimes exactly what you are looking for. The generated video parts of 5 to 10 seconds are then edited with Final Cut and underlaid with the appropriate music. The real level of the artist and the merging with the generated video is very important. For the ’80s Forever’ video, for example, we didn’t use any AI at all, but cut and moved all the parts by hand in Final Cut and worked with free videos to create the 1980s style.”
